Create a Good to Grow! Tree with Your Family

Looking for a new place to help engage your child in active play and discover the outdoors? Why not visit a children’s museum near you? Knowing the importance of outdoor play, many children's museums have outdoor exhibits and gardens, and are a great place to activate your child’s imagination. As a modern "town square" in their communities, children's museums encourage active play in, exploration of and respect for nature at the earliest ages.

The Association of Children's Museums’ new program, www.GoodtoGrow.org, takes a playful approach to the serious business of your family's health. The site's content focuses on connecting to nature through outdoor play, reducing screen time, increasing physical activity and choosing healthy foods. To help your family reduce screen time, Good to Grow! emphasizes fun, offline activities, many of which will take you outdoors. Designed as a daily, but brief, online activity, the www.GoodtoGrow.org mantra is: Visit us often, but don’t stay too long!

So log on today and create your Good to Grow! Family Tree – a fun, interactive way to keep track of your family’s healthy choices and get even more great ideas for your Green Hour!
