Bethe Almeras
Campaign & Program Manager
Bethe Almeras is the Senior Manager for Family and Educator Programs for the National Wildlife Federation. Producer of the award-winning Happenin' Habitats, Bethe has a passion for using the wonders of nature to reach and teach everyone. She is nuts about squirrels and loves the view from her "urban tree house" in Washington, DC -- a great spot to watch her furry friends. In her free time, she can be found hiking the trails and parks around the city, taking photos and enjoying the peace that can only be found outdoors. |
Todd Christopher
Publications & Online Media Manager
Todd Christopher is the Director of Online Media for the National Wildlife Federation's award-winning Kids & Families publications. He loves to hike and bike and considers himself a birder, even though he can't tell one fall warbler from the next. He drinks too much coffee, but founded Coffee For The Birds to justify his habit. He and his family make a Green Hour part of their daily routine, and you often can find him on backyard scavenger hunts and bug safaris with his young son and daughter.

John Dawson
Illustrator
John Dawson has been a natural history illustrator for nearly thirty years. You may have seen his realistic paintings in Ranger Rick, on the long-running Nature of America stamps issued by U.S. Postal Service, or maybe even at the trail head of a national park. His love of nature is evident in his work, which captures the beauty and the wonder that can be found right outside your front door. He lives on the Big Island of Hawaii, where every hour is a Green Hour!

Kate Hofmann
Contributing Editor
Kate Hofmann is a Senior Editor for the National Wildlife Federation's Ranger Rick magazine and producer of the award-winning Ranger Rick Educator's Guide. She loves walking in the woods, hunting rocks on the beach, and sleeping under the stars. She also loves her daily bike ride to work, no matter what the weather (and, a northerner at heart, she's always wishing for snow). It's hard to come inside -- but it helps that every month with Ranger Rick brings new stories and more to learn about wildlife and nature.

Anne Keisman
Online Media Coordinator
Anne Keisman is the online media coordinator for Green Hour. Most of her life, Anne lived as an inveterate city-dweller, but has recently discovered the joys of backpacking, canoeing and whiling away the evening gazing into the heart of crackling fire. She was editor and reporter for a weekly newspaper before joining NWF, and wants to use her journalistic skills to bring greenhour.org to as wide an audience as possible -- even to families more comfortable with asphalt and skyscrapers than with earth and trees.
