What is RSS?

RSS (Rich Site Summary) is a format for delivering regularly changing content on the Web. It allows you to easily stay informed by retrieving the latest content from the websites you are interested in. You may recognize the universal feed icons from your favorite websites, blogs, and podcasts. These icons represent content in any format -- text, audio, or video -- to which you can subscribe using a feed reader.

How do I read RSS feeds?

If you want to browse and subscribe to feeds, you have many choices. Feed reader software allows you to grab the RSS feeds from various sites and display them for you to read and use. If you prefer, you can use an online, Web-based service to track and manage your feeds. The most recent versions of popular browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, etc.) offer integrated readers.
